It’s carnival! That’s better!

Hey Fastpass method students! It’s carnival so this week the topic on our platform is carnival atmosphere. We are going to be looking at new vocabulary, expressions, listenings and many things associated with this fantastic time of the year. Our grammar topic this week is about prepositions of place within at and on and our amazing superhero captain D man is going to be explaining this video.

Before we begin this week we want to say welcome to our new students that are joining us and also to all our students that answered all correctly for our Wednesday listening and our Friday test, well done to you.

This week as carnival is for a new beginning as we say goodbye to winter and hello to spring. It’s also a fantastic time for us here at BrentEnglish to introduce our two new departments. We have Fastpass español that will be explained from Madrid with our teacher Sonia that is at the end of the lesson so please stay tuned to check that out and our new podcast. And our new podcast this week is going to be presented by Adriana.

So guys over first to our grammar lesson which is going to be explained by

Captain D-man, Are you ready? let’s go friends and hello fastpass students!

This week we are looking at prepositions of location in, at and on and when do we use them.

When we use in is. When we are surrounded by a place or by people so for example: I am in a city, I am in a room, I am waiting in line

We use at for physical locations: I’m at work (physical location),I’m at home (physical location) I’m at school (also our physical location where are you a physical location)

We use on for contact with a surface and for technology: your feet are on the floor, the laptop is on the table and you’re probably watching this on the internet.

So Fastpass students there are many more examples on the platform and have fun at the carnival.

Thanks Captain D. I can see that you are really working out. Now guys it’s time to send you over to Fastpass español and Sonia in Madrid to explain about what the lesson is for this week over to Sonia.
