Do you like food? then this week’s lesson is just for you!
Hey Fast Pass method students, how are you? did you enjoy our lesson of last week springtime? I’m sure you did. Now this week the topic on our platform is food, glorious food. Food is a really important topic as it helps us communicate and express about the wonderful tasty food from our country, city or region with people from different parts of the world and so this topic food glorious food will definitely help you with our new vocabulary, expressions, listenings and speaking topics. You definitely will be speaking much better about the glorious topic of food.
Before we begin we want to say welcome to all our new students that are joining us and thank you so much for trying and believing in the Fast Pass method, also to our ninja level students and answer all correctly for our Wednesday listening and our Friday test. Well done guys! we are so proud of you for achieving great results the grammar on our platform this week is about modal verbs. Now modal verbs will definitely help you with the topic of food. Why? well, modal verbs express possibility, probability and recommendation, to name a few and so recommending about all the wonderful tasty food from your country’s, city region will be really important. This will be explained in our archive video so stay tuned for that also we’ll be going over to Sonia in sunny Fuerteventura as she enjoys the sun the beach and the pool. I’m not envious well maybe just a Little. Also we’ll be going over to Adriana with our podcast to see what we have in the lesson for this week
So first let’s go over now to our archive video to understand a little bit more about modal verbs. Enjoy the video!
– You must not touch that. Oh yes you should eat that. You can do that if you want to. Hello Fast Pass method students, may i tell you about this week’s class? I may, well okay. This week in our fabulous class we are going to be looking at modal verbs. What are modal verbs? you ask well a modal verb is a helping verb that adds meaning to the main verb by expressing possibility ability, permission or obligation. Now let’s look at them by focusing on my favorite topic… FOOD.
Obligation -> you must eat all your vegetables or you won’t get any dessert, oh no!
Possibility -> that pizza is delicious i’m sure you can eat it all
Permission -> may i have some more? please, please
Ability -> I can drink more beers but then you have to pay for them
There you have it guys! did you understand a little bit more about modals verbs? don’t worry, there are more examples on the platform for you to learn so you definitely will understand them.
