This week, the lesson on our platform is Carnival. Why Carnival? Well, it’s Carnival for us here in Spain. Carnival is something that is experienced and celebrated by more than 50 different countries around the world and so having the opportunity to speak about this is going to be really important for you and here with a Fast Pass Method, we want to get you speaking and get you speaking about topics that inspire you. And yes and so Carnival and celebrating Carnival can be something that enables you to have a conversation. So in this video we are going to look at a little bit of the vocabulary, a little bit of our idioms and collocation and some of our grammar that you can be expecting to see in our lesson for this week. Shall we start with the vocabulary.

  • the first one we’re looking at is a noun and it’s marching band that performs at a parade and a parade is what you normally find at carnival.
  • the next one we’re looking at is a noun and it is also something that you can see in a parade in for Carnival and it is a float. Now the float is the vehicle that you see that has flowers and lots of decorations and normally it has people on it that are waving waving

  • Let’s look at the first one a whale of a time. A whale of a time is when you have an incredibly, fantastic time like you are going to have at carnival.
