It’s a holiday here this week. For us, in Spain a holiday if the national day of Spain on the 12th it’s always Wednesday. Oh it’s Wednesday.

I prefer when the holidays are on a Friday or a Monday. Oh yeah or Wednesday! oh well, it’s a holiday and the topic this week is about my country because of the national day of Spain and we’re celebrating Spain’s day so will you get it you understand so this week we’re going to show you some new vocabulary, some new expressions and some wonderfull, amazing, incredible listings for you on the watch,  listen, speak session of the platform so you’ll be able to improve your listening and your speaking about this topic because you have to talk about your country. You have to speak you have to speak because that’s what the Fast Pass Method  is all about. Yeah I’m excited , it’s a holiday! it’s a holiday!

Let’s start with vocabulary. Let’s start with our vocabulary if you go to the platform , you go to my country, you go down to a vocabulary and here you’ll find our vocabulary. It’s level guided so let’s have a look now and see our vocabulary.

  • so we got a flag now. Our flag is a noun. A flag is something that represents your nation or it’s a symbol also that represents your country or organization or something flag.
  • All right so the next one we got is if you go down to country and Third Country. Remember a country is a nation and the country in Spanish, okay so a country the country different. Remember the difference guys.

There’s a lot more on the platform so your fabulous teachers will explain that to you. Idioms and collocations, remember idioms and collocations are expressions that you use in English that say a lot with just a few words:

  • let’s look at the first one to go dutch if you go dutch it means that you pay for your part of the bill in a restaurant for example so instead of dividing each person pays exactly for what they spent or they ate which is quite good I think.
  • so the next one we’ve got is it when in Rome do as the Romans now this is something that many countries have the same expression which means that when you go to a country B and do exactly as they do for example here in Spain with Siesta time. Oh I love Siesta time but a short Siesta. A lot of very long Siesta, a long Siesta is called a sleep and the Siesta should be very very uncomfortable on a sofa, incredibly uncomfortable on a sofa and for 20 minutes maximum. I know this is controversial. I know it is

I know it is so that’s your idioms and collocations grammar this week is about modal verbs. Why modal verbs? well modal verbs help you express obligation, recommendation, necessity, possibility, probability. So it will be very useful when you tell people what to see and do in your fabulous country. Uh especially with the food. Yes yes, the food is amazing. We all love food in our countries. Okay and guys there’s a lot more on the platform this week so be sure to check it out.

Well, thanks so much guys enjoy your holiday this Wednesday and remember to speak to as many people as you can in English. We’ll see you in the lesson with your fabulous teachers and remember, please, speak! the more you speak the better you become and that’s the Fast Pass Method have a fabulous week enjoy your lizards!!
